Shared Vision & Purpose

Promoting and providing inclusive, quality, enjoyable and diverse progressive music education and opportunities. Achieved through effective partnerships that join up delivery, tackle gaps in provision and ensure strong progression routes that raise the standards and well being of all young people.

Wakefield Music Education Hub aims to deliver the National Plan for Music to all young people throughout the District. The Hub also acts as an advocate for music education, encouraging participation in music and providing innovations in delivery locally to improve music making for and by children and young people

Wakefield Music Education Hub performs all Core & Extension roles as set out by the Arts Council. These roles underpin our Business Plan and the musical activity that we offer.

  4. Develop a singing strategy to ensure that every pupil is singing regularly and that choirs and other vocal ensembles are available in the area.
